That feeling I had, when I summited my second Adirondack high peak (granted, an easy hike on Cascade then to Porter), was one of the best feelings I've had in a long, long time.

I want the feeling more regularly. I want to live near mountains.

Being an artist is both rewarding and conflicting. When you're mind is full of negative images, you want to release them onto the canvas. Yet, that requires you to filter the bubbling images fully through the brain allowing denial to fly like the wind. Right now, I don't have the courage to do any of that.

Fear is such a force.

My mom sent me this video the other day. The basic story: Dad and brothers wanted to pull down a vine from the tree so they could, ya know, swing from it. Legit reason, I feel. Little brother is in the car, Dad is in the red sweater. This video showcases their combined GENIUS.

Sidenote: My father is a design engineer. You'd never know...

Also, my father's laugh? Tears of laughter coming from this direction.

In the last two days, I have MAYBE spent six hours out of bed.

I think... we lost a cat. Stuart, my new baby, has not been seen from all day. I'm worried.

Out of the six hours not in my bed, maybe 30 minutes was spent looking for the cat. THERE IS ONLY SO MUCH AN ADDICT CAN DO.

In the process of finding Stuart, my eyes went WHOMP with the realization of how MUCH I dislike one of my roommates. Like, the kind of dislike that is pretty damn close to the kind of hate were you chuck something really heavy at them, curse them to a hell full of eagles eating their liver, and then tell them in many, many words how much they are an asshat.
